Gilbert group participates in the Urgences Premiers Pas operation
Launched on March 31, 2021, the “Urgences Premiers Pas” operation led by the Break Poverty Foundation and the Agence du Don en Kind, with the support of the State Secretariat for Children and Families, aimed to helping thousands of babies whose families depend on food aid to survive.
In 4 months, more than a million infant products (diapers, infant milk, care products, hygiene products, small pots, etc.) have been distributed in the form of kits to young disadvantaged parents in order to meet the essential needs of their children.
This chain of solidarity was made possible thanks to the exceptional mobilization of nearly 25 companies in the sector and the support of the State Secretariat for Children and Families in the amount of nearly two million euros in order to respond to a emergency situation.
In a joint speech with the committed partners, Romain Canler, Director General of the Agence du Don en Kind, Valérie Daher, Director of the Break Poverty Foundation and Adrien Taquet, Secretary of State, declared : “We warmly thank all the companies that participated in the operation. Today more than ever, it is necessary to continue our efforts and to continue to provide basic necessities to families in precarious situations”.
The Gilbert group, a long-standing partner of the Agence du Don en Nature, notably supplied Physiolac Bio products, Neutraderm washing gel, as well as Bébisol and Luc & Léa childcare items.
“I am proud that the Group has committed to this operation with families in difficulty. We are historical partners of the Agence du Don en Nature and intend to continue to work with them to respond to the emergencies and needs of associations. I remind you that last year, our collaboration made it possible to redistribute nearly 40,000 products to 152 associations in 49 departments, “commented Cédric Batteur, Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
